Dark Colored Sheltie seen on Center Village north of Fry in the Rock Lake Pool section and left her in the 1/2 acre section – she would not come to me.  Last seen on Grand Vista Lane.

The dog was found around 1093 & Mason.  He had no collar or tags and was taken to a vet to be scan and has no chip.  He was in need of a haircut and bath.  He is gray, looks to be at least part Yorkie.  The lady who found him posted signs all around Canyon Gate and called several vets.  I think he belongs to somebody who might not have a lot of money.  He has not been neutered and the grooming was terrible.  His nails need clipped.  He is a very lovable dog. Very skinny and I am having a hard time finding food he will eat unless it is human food.  My neighbors are coming to the rescue with trying different food.
I have friends that can find him a home unless we keep him.  I just think he is really missing his owner.  He seems so sad.

Dear Neighbor:

The Duncan family has found and taken in a small white poodle found in the vicinity of Marble Cove, west of Grand Parkway near Griffen Elementary.  The dog is not wearing a collar or tags.

Please contact Rosslynn at 281-693-4172 or 832-433-1100 if you believe you know to whom this little one belongs.

Lady - lost pet

Help us find this beautiful pet. She weighs about 100 pounds and she got out of her yard on Saturday Night to Sunday Morning. She is a short haired- tri colored (white, brown and black) and was lost in the Fry Road and Kingsland Area (Kelliwood/Green Trails) of Katy, TX. Please see photo to left. If you have seen her or know of her whereabouts, please email me christi@christiborden.com so that I can contact the owner who is very anxious to get his gal home.

A grayish black un-cut Pit Bull male found behind Alexander Elementary.  It has white on his tummy and paws. The family who has generously taken him in cannot keep him since they have other pets. They’ve determined the dog to be under 6 months old.

Pictures will follow later when they are able to get them to me.  If this is your dog please contact christi borden immediately:
832-72-7470 and she will notify the people holding the pet.

A box of possibly two litters of kittens plus the Mother was left at the library Monday am.  They are in need of homes and some are currently being fostered.  They won’t be ready for adoption until 3 more weeks but you can speak with Jenny directly to get more information on the kittens (some are gray, some black and some ginger in color).

Please contact Christi Borden 832-372-7470 and pass this along to all your friends, neighbors and family in case they may be interested in adopting a cute little kitty.  And PLEASE, to all you pet owners – spay and neuter all of your pets.

Thank you in advance for your help and support!
HAVE YOU LOST YOUR PIT BULL IN THE GRAND LAKES AREA OF KATY, TX?
We had some teenagers come by and ask us if we could take in a dog they found roaming the street on their way to school (at 9:30a? don’t ask me!).  She is a young adult dark brown/black female pure bred pit bull, that appears to have nursed recently (enlarged mammary glands)  or gone through a heat cycle.  she is thin, but i can’t rule out early pregnancy, either.  we scanned for a microchip and did not find one.  We unfortunately cannot keep her here, as we are booked solid for spring break and all of our boarders are coming in later today and tomorrow.  Can you circulate this to people and see if we can find her owner?  i am concerned that she may have been dumped.  She seems sweet so far!  Even if someone could keep her for a couple of days, that would be great.  We can hold on to her for the day if need be.
Thanks.

KaosKaos got through the kids and out the back door Friday night. We are very worried about him so if you have seen him please call. He is a siamese mix. He was wearing his collar, but unfortunately it has our old phone # on it. I know he misses his bed as much as we miss him! If you know anything please call 832-368-5953. We live in Meadow’s Place Subdivision in Cinco Ranch off of Peak Road so hopefully he is still close by. Thank you very very very much for any help you can give.
HarveyMy mother-n-law’s friend’s son lost his mothers cat – his name is Harvey and from what I was told he has been missing for a couple of weeks – is there any way you can share this information on your blog.

Thank you.

Example of Guinea Pig

Example of Guinea PigLOST GUINEA PIG IN GRAND LAKES If you have a chance could you get the word out that my neighbor Janica Liland lost her Guinea Pig last night on Bridge Creek Lane in the back section of GL by the rock pool. It got loose from the kids in the front yard. It is a small Guinea Pig that is tri colored and is very shy. Janica has been out all last night and today going thru the bushes and is really worried about the cold weather coming tonight. Call or email Christi Borden 832-368-5953 or christi@christiborden.com if you have seen this beloved pet.

GREAT DANE PUPPY!

Sasha is 6 months old and quite big. Found her collar still tied to a leash on our patio on Nov 21! She is very friendly and loves to jump which may be scary for someone who doesn’t know she isn’t aggresive. WE live behind teh new Walmart on Grand Parkway, and we have covered Katy, Richmond and as far down as Rosenberg, Cinco Ranch area as well. Fawn coloring, black markings, close to 100 lbs. Please see photo above! Contact Christi Borden via email christi@christiborden.com or cell 832-372-7470 if you have seen Sasha. Her loved ones miss her so!

A VERY elderly Golden Retriever with possible loss of sight in one eye was found by a Grand Lakes family in the north east corner of Peek and Fry.  He is not wearing a collar or tags.  Please, please, please pass this along to all you know in and around our area so we can find his owners!  This is not a way for a beloved pet who has spent his life with a family to spend his final days.

This dog needs a foster home/adoptive home if no one comes forward as the family is allergic and cannot keep the dog.

Thank you in advance for your help and support!

Urgent message: Please read the post at the bottom of this page regarding a found Black Lab – in Seven Meadows near Gaston. This dog was wandering around at night and has been picked up by Animal Protection. They have indicated that they will only keep this precious pet for 72 hours. If not claimed, she will be put down. Please ask all your friends and neighbors if they know who the owner is or if someone could foster this pet until her owners are found. I just can’t imagine how I would feel if my sweet pet (and family member) was languishing at the Shelter and then euthanized while I was out hunting for her. The contact person who spotted the dog left her number. Again, please read to the bottom of this page for more information and let’s help this wonderful pet find her way home.

Subject: Stolen puppy in Katy

his is the second puppy in two months to disappear from our yard.  We had a three month old blue heeler disappear right after the hurricane. We believe someone is taking them to re-sale or try and claim a reward. When you are out and about over the weekend, if you see someone selling puppies you can give me a call and we will check it out.  The Katy Animal control officer said there have been several cases of this happening in the last year.

Gunnar is a cardigan corgi.  He is like the puppy in the photo and has freckles on his face.  He had a collar and tags when he was taken.  He is three months old today and is about twelve pounds. If you want to forward to others that could keep their eyes out for him also, we would appreciate the help.

 First, please help find Ziggy!

Example of Yorkshire Terrier

Example of Yorkshire Terrier

Ziggy is a little black and blond Yorkshire Terrier who dug out of the yard on Briar Landing, off of Fry near the junior high school.

Any tips on where he might be or if you’ve taken him in, please contact me.  He does not have his collar on and is not micro-chipped.  If you notice a neighbor with a new dog suddenly that meets this description please challenge them or contact me to do so.
There was an accident last Saturday by Beck Junior High where a pet was hit. We would like more information to make sure that Ziggy is safe.

Cat Found by Home Depot!!!
Secondly, there is a black cat, medium to long haired, solid black with big fluffy tail, and fluffy mane – that has been hanging around the Harris home near the Home Depot area west of the Grand Parkway.  He’s been coming in and out of her doggie door for about 2 months but at first appeared to be someones in the neighborhood.  After the Hurricane, he looks worse for wear and it’s obvious that he is homeless.  He or she will not let anyone come near it.
If you lost your black cat 2 or more months ago or know someone who has lost a medium to long haired black cat a few months ago or who may have moved and abandoned the poor thing (yes, people actually do this!) please contact me

Missing Australian Terrier! She looks like an overgrown Yorkie but is actually an Australian terrier.  She is 2 1/2 years old  and loves to be with people.  She disappeared Saturday, September 20 around 5:00 or 5:30 in the afternoon near the Fairways or Kelliwood Area.

Katy residents: Let’s all work together to find these beloved “family members”. If you would like to post a missing or found pet, please post here or email me at christi@christiborden.com. Please include a full description of where pet was lost or found, describe the pet in detail and a photo attachment is always helpful. keeshond1Missing Dog North Katy Area
Bach is one of my clients’ dogs and the owners are very close friends of mine.  Bach is an aloof, kind of odd dog so I do not think he would do well out on his own for long.  The included picture is not actually him, but is a very good likeness for him.  He has a lot of skin issues and his coat does not look great, but he is a keeshond.  I think someone probably picked him up and perhaps he is not close to home anymore.  She has signs everywhere in our area and drove for hours last night looking.  She is not sure, but thinks he was not wearing his collar when he went missing.

Hi, I really hope that you can help! Our Tan and Silver Yorkie was got out of the back yard today (Monday, Oct. 13th) after the cable guy left the gate slightly open. We live in Heritage Square of Cimarron at 1014 Cheyenne Meadows Dr. Katy, Texas 77450. My husband Stephen Laurent can be reached at xxxxxx and I can be reached at xxxxxx, His name is Tobi and he is 4 years old and is wearing a LSU collar. His name tag was recently broken off so there is no identification on him. We would be forever grateful for any help at all. Thanks! Beverly Laurent

Our little daschund got out of the back yard Friday afternoon. We have looked everywhere for her and I came across your website hoping you could help get the word out to help get her back home safely. She is a female, short-haired, red dapple petite daschund. She was wearing her pink collar with her tags, but since she doesn’t like strangers it would have been very difficult for someone to get her. I am hoping someone has seen her and can help us find her. I can send pictures and I am including the link of the posting I put on Craigs List tonight as well. We are just worried sick about her. http://houston.craigslist.org/laf/910483551.html

If anyone knows anything they can call me on my cell at 713-382-9118. We live in Meadows Place on Lamplight Trail Dr., off of Peek Rd.

    Thank you so very much,
    Barbara

  5. Kerstin Wunsch Says:

There has been a black female lab in our neighborhood all afternoon today 11-10-08 (Seven Meadows- between Gaston and Katy Gaston Rd.) In the evening we called Animal Control, because we were afraid she would be run over in the dark. They came by and picked her up and told us that they put her down within 72 hours, if nobody wants her. I called around and nobody seems to know who this nice dog belongs to. She is a grown black lab mix, with white spots on her chest and white spots on one of her paws and is nice with people and very quiet.
If someone is missing her, or knows about her owner please call Kerstin at 281 394 5435
    Thanks for any help.

  6. christiborden Says:

    Dear Kerstin,

Thank you so much for this information. Please, let’s try to find her family so that they will not be heart broken to loose her in the next few days at the Shelter. If anyone could temporarily adopt her as a foster family until her owners are found, this might be the solution

Again, thank you for being a the type of neighbor I would want to have.

WE have lost our Great Dane Puppy! She is 6 months old and quite big. Found her collar still tied to a leash on our patio on Nov 21! Daughters are desolate and want her back. Did find a loose board in the fence but she could only go to neighbors property from there and they claim they never saw her (hard to miss). Someone must have taken her. Can you please confirm if the message below from an email fwd I received today is real or is someone playing a prank?
“Folks, this is to let you that this wild big cat is running loose in the bayou in Katy along Cinco Ranch, Grand Lakes , Kellywood, etc. Please see attachment above. The schools have been alerted and people need to be aware. It has been sighted a number of times and as yet, it has not been captured. Please send this out to everyone so the word will get out to be careful with you children and animals. You may not want to leave your pets outside without being out there to watch them. It’s hard to tell what it is. Looks like it may be a cougar from the picture but if the guy is right who took the picture it is about the size a dog at 60lbs; however, it does not look like a bobcat, nor does it look like one. It could be a young cougar who is someone’s pet or has gotten away from it’s mother. I hope someone at Texas Wildlife has been alerted and they can catch it before it is killed or before it kills for food. Does anyone know who to contact that might be able to save it and get it to a sanctuary before someone shoots it.
If anyone has contacts there, please see if they have been contacted. Thanks.

  25. Candace Phillips Says:

    Dear Katy Community,
I live on Wild Horse Valley Road (the street behind Pickford, where the pool is) in the Cimarron subdivision and have lost my solid black domestic short hair cat. He is a neutered male named Ari (pronouned RE); no collar (he always lost it when I put it on him) but he is microchipped. He is a small adult (about 8 lbs.) and has big gold eyes. He is kind of skittish around people he doesn’t know but is a very sweet cat once you approach him. He disappeared the morning of Tuesday, August 25, 2009 when the roofers came to put a roof on the house behind ours and probably scared him. I have called vets and animal control to no avail in trying to find him. If you find a cat like Ari, please contact me at (281) 392-7234. He was very much loved and his family is inconsolable at his loss. Thank you so much!

  26. Candace Phillips Says:

An addition to my post above: Ari has very, very soft fur and a slight crook at the very end of his tail. My family is devastated and we are prepared to offer a sizeable reward for his safe recovery. Sadly, if you have seen a deceased cat that might have been Ari, we would like to know that as well. It is just so horrible to not know what happened to him and if he is safe. Thank you so much for any information on my little “Halloween kitty”. I can also be e-mailed at misa567@gmail.com. Thank you again and God Bless.
