Katy, Tx is a vibrant and growing suburb located 20 miles west of Houston, TX. We are home to one of the strongest school districts in the area, many wonderful master-planned communities and a new medical community under construction.
I envision this site as a way to keep area residents informed of items of interest and current events for our residents. I appreciate your posts of anything that might be of interest to those of us that call Katy “home”. I have also posted a page for lost and found pets. Please let me know if you find or have lost a beloved pet so that we can use the Internet to help reunite the families with their most cherished pets.

FOX 26 is beginning a new initiative called FOX 26 LISTENS. It’s all about our communities, our neighbors who are separated by city limits signs and yet a part of Houston all the same.
We’ll be coming to your towns to learn about the issues that are important in your area, the concerns of the community and what can be done to help. We’ll also be showcasing the people and the locations that make your town special and a great place to live.
We’re starting with Katy, over the next week you’ll see stories highlighting different features of the Katy area and on May 14th FOX 26 LISTENS will host a town hall meeting for Katy area residents to talk with their community leaders about the issues that are important to them.
Katy resident and FOX 26 News anchor Tom Zizka will be there and we invite other Katy residents to join us at the Powerhouse Christian Center at 7:30pm on Thursday May 14th to share your views about your town.
